Does Anyone Know the Reading Level of Society Lit?

the thread on pros of being a jw (not filled with many) led me to wonder if anyone has scientifically assessed the reading level of the average wt, awake, books.

i thought 5th grade but it is a guess.

software exists now to evaluate reading comprehension levels necessary to read documents.

My guess would be it's written at a third grade level.

I could read it just fine in third grade but didn't understand the concepts. Yet, I could read the newspaper and understand it with no problem at all.

Newspapers in America are typically written at a sixth grade level, or so I've read.

Now, after attending college and getting an advanced degree, I see it's because of the illogical arguments presented and not the intellectual way WT and A! are written as to why I couldn't understand a WT article.

After reading an article recently, I couldn't believe how simplisticly and clearly illogically they are written.

They are obviously written at a very basic elementary school level.

How condescending to their readers!

My cat has a dog to pick on. I do have to get up and let the kitteh out of the bedroom (she sleeps 1/2 the night on my bed) to use the litter box in the living room, where she'll spend the rest of the night. She's fixed, so I don't think she yowls any. No neighbors have complained, but she is an indoor only kitteh. I think the wheel might squeak when the mouse is running on it, but not sure.

maybe it's just by one of the elders..... he told someone not to help me out because i did not heed council (almost 2 yrs ago i was counciled).

and maybe i would take advantage of them because he doesn't know my "status" i was thinking about returning evil for evil..... what if i got a disfellowshipping form, filled it out with his info and sent it to the branch.... you think that would work?.

I would have a problem with my guy going out in public on a day not Halloween in a bunny suit.

I do care enough about people's perceptions of me, but no one dictates my clothes to me.

I actually want those jammies for at home.

Wow, this is refreshing.

I just got flamed (is that the right word?) for criticising photos of old hairy naked men appearing in public.

I still insist they need clothes in public.

Apparently, I should celebrate their uniqueness that they have the balls (everyone can see them!) to be themselves in public without a care what anyone thinks.

Whew.

Now, I'd bong my guy upside the head for going in public in such a thing, but I think it's okay in the house.

I think that people who dress like their lives are heading south want others to think that their lives are heading south.

I'm just waiting to be berated for my opinion.
